A member of the House of Representatives for Dawakin Tofa/Tofa and Rimingado federal constituency, Honorable Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe has called on Muslim Ummah to promote peace and unity.
Honorable Jobe in his Sallah message contained In a statement, said peace and unity are the bedrock of development of a society.
Jobe added that Nigeria as a country with diverse tribes and ethnics needs peace and unity to prosper.
“Peace and unity are critical factors needed to move the country to greater heights. No matter how good the leaders will be, without peace and unity they cannot achieve anything.
“A nation with multiple tribes and ethnics like Nigeria can never be developed without peace and unity among its people. We should therefore, utilize our diversity to develop our nation.
“Each tribe or ethnic in this country has something unique to contribute in developing this country. So, it is only when we put our heads together that we can harness our potentials and develop the country,” he said.
Hon. Jobe appealed to Muslim Ummah to adhere to the virtues of Islam and promote peace and unity in their dealings with followers of other religions.
He also called on Muslims to exercise their civic right by obtaining permanent voters cards, noting that acquiring the voters cards is necessary as without it no one can participate in the forthcoming general elections.
