Ayrah Media Concept Limited Inaugurates Editorial Board

The Editorial Board Members of Ayrah Media Concept Limited, publisher of Daily News 24 was on Tuesday inaugurated.

The Editorial Board has Baba Halilu Dantiye as it Chairman and a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Communications, Bayero University Kano, BUK, Dr. Sule Yau Sule, as vice Chairman.

Other members of the board include Idris Mohammed, Lecturer at Department of Mass Communications, Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto, Broadcaster and Media Consultant, Khadija Bawas, and politician, Salihu Tanko Yakasai.

The inauguration was conducted at Ayrah Media Headquarters in Kano on Tuesday.

Ayrah Media Director, Abba Rabiu Abdullahi who was represented at the event said that “the main aim of establishing Daily News 24 is to contribute towards mitigating fake news in the society.

“The appointment of the Editorial Board is part of the brand’s move to be counted amongst the best and a leading light in the media industry with the broadest reach and ensuring timely and unique developmental content through innovation backed by excellent service delivery, highly motivated human capital and the latest technology,’’ Abdullahi said.

“Others include abiding by the constitution and the code of ethics of journalism and providing human angle contents that would bring about greater development to the society.

“We want to make a difference.

“Of course, that cannot be achieved without setting standards and engaging the best brains in the industry to oversee our activities, advise and caution us when we go wrong, review our stories and produce editorials.

“Thus, some of the reasons why the team decided to look around and nominate the Editorial Board Members so that they can help in making our dreams come true.” He stated.

The board chairman, Baba Halilu Dantiye, in his acceptance speech expressed delight at the development and promised to work diligent alongside the board members for the desired goal of establishing the platform to be achieved.

The inauguration event was attended by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kano Governor, Abba Anwar, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast Media, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Publishers of Solacebase Online Newspaper and Hotpen, Abdullateef Abubakar Jos and Aliyu Dangida, among other top media personalities.
