The Emir of Dutse, Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi has commended the national emergency management agency NEMA for donating food items and building materials to flood victims in Jigawa state.
He stated this while receiving the minister of Humanatarian affairs disaster management and social development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouk at his palace.
Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi said the assistance was timely as the victims are in need of food and shelter.
Earlier, Hajia Sadiya Umar said she was in Jigawa state to launch the payment of twenty thousand naira assistance to women and the presentation of food and relief materials to flood victims in the state as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to her, the relief items are in the palace of the emir of Hadejia for distribution to the victims which are from the emirate.
