Training Women on peace and Security , panacea to Peaceful Coexistence

The Executive Director, Disputes Resolutions and Development Initiative, formerly known as Democratic Action Group(DAG) Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Yahaya said bringing Women together for the Peace Security will be fully comprehended and it would make them more confident in their activities.

Dr. pointed out that Women are the most vulnerable and target of every form of victimization under certain circumstances stressing that as child breeders and care givers, thier sanctity and prestige must be strongly protected and guarded under whatever circumstances.

He said” we have gathered them here today for a 3 Day training for them to discern their importance. as we see it, Women are vulnerable in times violent extremism is at its high are putting formidable structures on ground as a way of widening our scope of operations in some of the Local Government Areas which we are saying at first.

“We are also working towards ensuring that a robust action plan for Women Peace Securitty is encapsulated for greater results to be ensured,we are doing this because we considered it asan inescapable responsibility,what we want from our target audience is to fully comprehend our set objectives” he added.

In his remark the resilience Programme Coordinator Action Aid, Mr Anicetus Atakpu has described the issue of capacity building for Women Peace Security in Kano as a formidable platform for consolidating a coherent action plan aimed at checking abuses among Women in the state.

Mr Anicetu said this 3-Day sensitization workshop on Women Peace Security Network organized by Actionaid in conjuction with Disputes Resolutions and Development Initiative funded by Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) held in Kano Tuesday, Atakpu said the Network was formed to fight excessive abuse among Women via violent extreme.

He also added that the formation of Women Peace Security Network in Kano has become imperative for them to grasping the nitty-gritty of using the formidable structures in some Local Government Areas in Kano where such experimentation would be consolidated for the much desired objectives to be realized adding that the issue of perpetrating all forms of excessive abuse among Women must be takle.

In their different response the trainees are appreciate the effort of this twins organizations and their mother which is GCERF for making Women better in life by giving them opportunity to become independent in many more.
