His royal highness the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has reaffirmed his commitment to the provision of accessible and qualitative education in an affordable manner to the teeming Nigerian youths.
Alhaji Ahmed made the disclosure during the occasion of his investiture as the chancellor and inauguration of the governing council of Capital city university,held in kano.

According to the Emir, affordable and quality education will go a long way in curtailing problems bedevilling the country such as poverty, drug abuse, intolerance among others.
He described failure to coordinate and place education as a priority to larger segment of the society as a major catalyst hindering the development of the nation.
Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli commended the promoters of the university due to the reflection of a clear mission and vision in addition to their tireless efforts in turning the university into a reality.
“On of the reasons that motivated me to accept the chancellorship of the capital city university Kano is to participate and contribute my quota in providing accessible and quality education”
In his remarks, Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the state government had mapped out policies and programs aimed at uplifting the standard of education.
Governor Ganduje who was represented by his deputy,Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna urged philanthropists and wealthy individuals to set up similar institutions to promote educational standard.
Earlier in his welcome address, the vice chancellor of Capital city university Kano, Professor Sadik Zubair Abubakar explained that the institution is geared towards producing a generation of future leaders with enterpreneurial skills suitable for job creation and problem solving.
He said the university’s statutory and administrative organs have been carefully composed with eminent and qualified personalities with relevant experiences necessary for effective and efficient delivery of their mandates.
“The proposed university shall combine core academic teaching with civic studies, as well as entrepreneurial skills so as to inspire students to imbibe hard work”
The occasion attracted Emir of Bichi,Emir Lere, Emir of Jema’a, academicians, top government functionaries, journalists among others.
