The National Senior Secondary School Education Commission Has Vows to reposition senior Secondary Education to a greater height.
The Executive Secretary of the Commission Dr. Benjamin Abakpa disclosed this during a national Advocacy and sensitization Forum for education stakeholders from Northwest Geo-Political Zone Held in Kano.
He said the Commission was working tirelessly in ensuring Senior Secondary Education was fully repositioned so that its product can compete with its peers Globally.
Dr. Benjamin Abakpa explained that the Commission was Working Toward prescribing a minimum standard that every senior secondary School must attain before operating be it a private or public school.
The Executive Secretary noted that the fear of being kidnapped by students and parents in secondary schools was very worrisome, hence measures were being implored to ensure that all senior secondary schools across the nation were safe.
” With the Covid experience, we need to diversify our strategies of teaching, especially by introducing Digital centers, and also by training and retraining of teachers to achieve the
set objectives”

Dr. Benjamin Abakpa added that the meeting was geared toward sensitization stakeholders on the Activities of the Commission, aimed at working together with the state government to Achieved the stated Objectives.
In a remark the Commissioner for Education Kano, Alhaji Mohammad Sanusi Kiru said the Establishment of the Commission was a great Milestone in the development of the Educational Sector.
He noted that Kano state Government would Accord all the needed support and cooperation to the Commissioned geared toward ensuring that the stated Goals were being Achieved.
