The Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has restated the commitment of his administration towards improving the socio-economic status of the people of the state.

The Governor made the remark when he received some students of Maryam Abacha American University of Maradi, Niger Republic who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Dutse.
The visit is part of the study tour organised by the university for the students.
Governor Badaru said his administration was committed and determined to provide the much needed dividend of democracy for the economic growth and development of the state.
He commended the university management for choosing the state to serve as the venue for the study tour and the training they are currently undergoing in the state.
He urged the students to make the best use of the opportunity, especially the peace being enjoyed in the state to work hard so as to make their stay a successful one.
In their remarks, the students said they were at the Government House, Dutse to pay homage to Governor Badaru Abubakar as part of the six months training in the state.
The medical students of the Maryam Abacha American University which was established in 2013, were also at the Government House to present themselves to the Governor and thank him for the wonderful work he has been doing for the state.
Earlier in his remark, the leaders of the team, who is also a staff of the University, Ado Shehu Ringim said the decision to choose Jigawa state for this year’s training was borne out of the achievements recorded by the administration of Governor Mohammed Badaru.(End).
