As the world make world tropical Neglected Diseases Day, Federal Ministry for Health, and Kaduna state Ministry of Health on Collaboration with Sight Savers,has organize a one day Sentization on the effect of tropical diseases neglected is the Society.
Speaking during the Sentization rally ,the Hounarable Commissioner ministry of Health,Dr,Amina Muhammad,Baloni, said” we want to sentizes the Public on the effect of some neglected diseases, like elephantiasis, bilharzia, lymphatic filariasis,and hybrids,
With the Theme”achieving Health Equity to end the neglecte of poverty related diseases”
Explained that the State government has so far we have been able to eliminate lyphatic filariasis since 2018,and some of our local government areas have so far eliminate lyphatic filariasis.
She further said,last year we have been giving out almost 3 million drugs to 3 million people, through Federal Ministry of Health and our partner sight savers,in addition last year,we operated almost 450 People with hybrids in Kaduna,with post surgery.
Represented by Director of Public Health Dr,Hajara Ƙera, the ministry have make awareness to various Communities,in Kaduna state especially in some neglected diseases that can be cure, through surgery and operation.
“Am appealing to the general public to always abide by health protocols in our respective Communities through following Medical advise.
