A Lecturer in Kaduna state University (KASU) , Professor. Mohammed Sani Yahaya has petitioned the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, also accused Kaduna Polytechnic Governing Council to have defied the Polytechnic Act.
According to the Petitioner, he applied for the post of The Rector Kaduna Polytechnic and was disqualified on the grounds that he is a Professor teaching in a University,

Professor.Yahaya how is a Lecturer in the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, in the petition written on January 20, 2022 is asking the Polytechnic Governing Council to reconsider and rescind its decision in the interest of justice, fairness and the rule of law.
The petitioner supported his claims with documents to challenge the decision of the Council saying that the Governing Council should review and reverse its decision because it goes against the Polytechnic Act 2019.
He disclosed that he has written personal appeal for the intervention of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasiru El-rufai, His Royal Highness, Emir of Zazzau, and Honorable Minister for Education, The Honorable Minister of Justice, The Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND, The Chairman, House Committee on Tertiary Education and Services, The Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education and other influential individuals urging them to impress on the Council to right the wrongs.
Professor Mohammed Sani is an Irrigation Agronomist and former Head, Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Kaduna State University.
