The Minister for Higher Education and the Research Niger Republic Dr. Momoudour D Jibo, says his country has vowed to collaborate with Yusif Maitama Sule University Kano in the aspect of research and Educational Development.
The minister stated this when a paid a working visit to the Vice-Chancellor of YUMSUK, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa in his office on Friday, 18th February 2022 at the main campus of the University in Kano.
Niger Republic and Kano State to strengthen students exchange programme
The Niger Republic’s Minister was on a working visit to Kano State on collaborations and linkages in the areas of research and educational development said Yusif Maitama Sule University has Achieved Academic excellence, hence the Niger Republic would relent in ensuring that mutual benefits exist in the sector.
“Our University is very much ready to go into the academic collaborations, linkages, staff, and students exchange where applicable”
Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa appreciated the Minister, Dr. DJibo, and the Kano State Government for the choice of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano as a reference point for the collaboration.
The visiting Minister was accompanied by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure who represented Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR. The Management staff and Directors of the Ministry for Higher Education.
The Minister was also accompanied by the President, Maryam Abacha American University Niger and Nigeria, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo as well as a group of academics from Niger and Nigeria.
