He’s the present Kano state’s deputy governor. The man builds with a moderate statue, having dark shining skin, with an often beaming smile, growing a gentlemanly silver beard, not only as a sign of creeping old age but as a symbol of maturity and accomplishments.
The flamboyant politician who shared the same temperament with a Peacock.
A quintessential politician who haven’t possessed open antagonists, this was due, according to his close associates, to his altruistic causes, who consider politics is a platform of good governance and peaceful interaction, not a game of animosity.
He was never known for any misguided political utterances, a trend which has become stereotypically embedded in our political system – to dent the image of an opponent or with the intent of amassing public popularity by hook or crook.
The state Deputy Governor, Dr Nasiru Yusif Gawuna, an ex-chairman who steered the affairs of the Nassarawa local government for two consecutive 4-year terms during the Shekarau administration, an era which springboards him to political limelight up to this present time.
Our Efforts have avail farmers in Kano modern techniques of Agriculture – Gawuna
Dr Nasiru Yusif Gawuna, being an accomplished politician who served in Shekarau-Kwankwaso and now in the Ganduje regime, served as a testimony of good relationships with various political empires in Kano.
But, even though, the soft-spoken Kano deputy governor, by all indications, is reminiscent of his past accomplishments, he’s a man with a promising future in this game of numbers – politics.
As it is reportedly insinuated from various quarters, he’s covertly ambitious to occupy the apex chair of the state ( even though he didn’t make a personal pronouncement).
But seemingly and reportedly said he is politically sandwiched between imaginary dilemmas, his wings were clipped that’s why Dr Gawuna is tiptoeing at the moment to get potential soft landing – he resorted towards becoming loyal and obedient to his boss, as he was known for as part of the discipline acquired right from his homestead.
In a nutshell, there is no gainsaying if His Excellency the Deputy Governor Dr Nasiru Yusif Gawuna was branded with a metaphor expression as a clinging Cork that never crows.
He resorted to adopting the rationale of a vulture, being a patient bird that gets to the accomplishment when the right time is due.
