It is with great joy and enthusiasm, I greet you in Islamic salutation, Assalamu Alaykum.
It gives me great pleasure to wish all the good people of Zamfara State a blessed and rewarding Ramadan Fasting.
Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslim Ummah to purify their minds and bodies by keeping with the injunctions of Allah (SWT).
Ramadan is not only for fasting, but also for all Muslims to dedicate themselves to self-sacrifice, like abstaining from taking drinks or food and physical needs, asking forgiveness for their wrongdoings, and devoting themselves to Allah.
I, therefore, find it imperative to urge my Muslim brothers and sisters to make excellent use of the period to seek Allah’s intervention in the challenges bedeviling our dear state and the country as a whole.
I wish to enjoy all, more especially, the wealthy individuals, groups, and corporate organizations to consider the plight of orphans, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), vulnerable, and other needy persons to ease their hardships and to serve as a tool for seeking divine mercy, guidance and protection.
My dear brothers and sisters, let me emphasize the need to intensify prayer as it remains the only weapon capable of consolidating our collective actions towards containing the challenges facing us, especially, in the area of security.
As a patriot, I wish to extend our profound appreciation to our Ulamas, who are religiously committed to educating and enlightening us on the teachings of Islam as revealed to us through our noble Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Indeed, these are the virtues worthy of emulation.
May Allah (SWT) restore peace and stability in our dear State and Nigeria, as a whole.
May He also accept our fasting as an act of ibadat. Amin Ya Rabbi.
Thank You.
Respectfully yours,
Alh. Sanusi Bala
