In an effort to boost the health status of the general populace in kano, the kano state government has embarked on the general operation of one hospital in all the newly established emirates in the state.
Sequel to that, arrangements have been completed by the state government for the commissioning of the upgraded Rano Hospital to a General Hospital by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The Commissioner for Health Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa disclosed this during a media briefing held in Kano.
He said the current administration of kano was committed to providing laudable projects, with aim of uplifting the well-being of the public.
“This administration has constructed the biggest cancer treatment center in Nigeria, fully equipped with modern equipment and will also be commissioned in the middle of October by his excellency Mr. President “
Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa maintained that a series of achievements have been recorded by the present administration in the health sector from inception to date.
“Among the achievements recorded on the health sector includes Construction and upgrade of Mohammad Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital to Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, Establishment of Kano Health Trust Fund, Private Health Institutions Management Agency and Kano State Contributory Health Management Agency Among others “
He noted that the state government has planned a week of activities starting from Monday 19th September 2022, aimed at strengthening the health sector in the State.
