The Kano State Government has Vowed to address challenges of farmers herders conflict in the 44 local government areas of the state.
The Commissioner for Lands Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya disclosed this while briefing journalists in Kano.
He said one of the major challenge that ignite conflict between farmers and Herders is the encroachment of reserve graze lands for Herders which have been gradually encroached by individuals.
Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya noted that the current Administration in Kano would not relent in ensuring that such graze lands were being revoked, with the aim of ensuring that Herders have enough land to feed their animals.
The Commissioner noted that the Administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir yusuf would make Kano a modern city through the introduction of new cities , as it was done during senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s regime.
” I am assuring the people of Kano State that news cities would be initiated in Kano , with the sole aim of expanding the city and providing affordable and befitting accommodations to tie teeming population of Kano.
Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kibiya assured all public lands allocated to individuals for personal use will surely be revoked , stressing that this administration would tolerate psycho fancy and corruption.
” we’ve received a number of cases which includes double Allocation , land encroachment along Many, and we assured the public that these challenges would be addresses squarely.
