AIG Garba Ahmed Receives CCB Director, Urges Compliance with Public Service Code

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone One Headquarters, Kano, Garba Ahmed, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to compliance with the Code of Conduct for Public Officers following a sensitisation visit by officials of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Kano State Office.

Time Express reports that the CCB delegation, led by the Kano State Director, Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim Larai, paid a familiarisation and enlightenment visit to the Zone One Police Headquarters in Kano on Thursday.

Speaking during the engagement, Larai said the visit was aimed at educating police officers on their responsibilities as public servants and promoting adherence to the provisions of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.

She explained that the sensitisation session focused on asset declaration procedures, restrictions applicable to public officers, ethical standards in public service, and the legal implications of non-compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

According to her, compliance with the Code of Conduct is essential in promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in public service, adding that public officers must remain committed to the principles guiding their offices.

In his remarks, Ahmed commended the Bureau for the visit and the enlightening presentation, describing the session as timely and beneficial to officers of the zone.

The AIG assured the Bureau of the Zone One Command’s full cooperation and continued compliance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers, stressing the command’s commitment to professionalism and ethical service delivery.
