Newlywed Man Stabbed to Death by Wife Three Days After Wedding in Jibia

Residents of Tashar Aibo in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State were thrown into shock on Sunday after a young man was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, just three days after their wedding.

The deceased, popularly known as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was said to be resting in his home on Sunday afternoon when the incident occurred. Community members told reporters that the couple had tied the knot on Thursday, November 18, 2025.

Eyewitnesses and neighbours said the wife allegedly attacked him with a knife while he was asleep, inflicting a fatal stab wound to his neck.

The victim, a well-known maize seller in the area, was described as humble and hardworking. Many residents gathered at his shop in disbelief as news of his death spread across the community.

Local sources described the situation as deeply tragic, praying for the repose of his soul.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident as investigations continue.
