OFFICIAL STATEMENT  ON THE POLITICAL ASPIRATION OF TURAD MUHAMMAD SHA’ABAN UNDER ADC

On behalf of Hon. Sani Sha’aban and the Sha’aban Family

The office of Hon. Sani Muhammad Sha’aban wishes to address the recent public announcement by his son, Turad Muhammad Sha’aban, regarding his intention to contest for the Senatorial seat of Zone One under the African Democratic Congress [ADC].

For the sake of clarity and to avoid any misrepresentation, we state that Hon. Sani Muhammad Sha’aban and the entire Sha’aban family were neither informed nor consulted before Turad took this step. It has always been our belief and tradition that a child, no matter their age or position, should seek the counsel and blessing of their parents and family before embarking on any major undertaking, especially one as significant as contesting for public office. In this instance, that courtesy was not extended. We therefore wish the public and all political stakeholders to take note of this fact.

Hon. Sani Muhammad Sha’aban remains firmly rooted in the All Progressives Congress [APC]. He stands as a pillar of the party at the national level, at the state level in Kaduna, at the senatorial level in Zone One, and down to the local government and ward levels. He has no desire, no intention, and no plan to leave the APC for any other political party. His loyalty to the party is built on conviction, sacrifice, and a long-standing commitment to its ideals and future.

He continues to pray for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and for his return for a second term in 2027. He is also working and praying for the re-election of his younger brother, Sen. Mal. Uba Sani, as Governor of Kaduna State for a second term. Likewise, he supports and prays for the emergence of the APC Senatorial candidate for Zone One, and for the return of Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, as Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives in 2027, Insha Allah.

Everything that concerns the progress, unity, and victory of the APC in Nigeria has his full attention and effort. He will continue to conduct himself in a manner that upholds the integrity of the party and avoids anything that could bring division or bitterness to its aspirations.

Those who know Hon. Sani Sha’aban know him as a man of his word, a man of integrity, and a man whose actions are guided by principle. He has never been known to go back on his word, and he will not start now. For anyone who wrongs him, whether friend or adversary, he leaves the matter in the hands of Allah and moves forward with dignity.

We also wish to state that Turad Muhammad Sha’aban remains his biological son, and as a father, Hon. Sani Sha’aban prays for his success and well-being in every legitimate endeavor he chooses. A son’s personal political decision does not and cannot represent the position of his father or the family. We hope the public, both within and outside politics, understands this distinction.

Finally, we solicit the prayers of all well-meaning Nigerians for Allah’s guidance, protection, and wisdom over our family and over the political process in Kaduna State and the nation at large. May Allah shield us from misunderstandings and from anything that can disrupt peace and unity.
