NAN Reporter Ramatu Garba Loses Father at 80

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano, Ramatu Garba, has been bereaved following the death of her father, who passed away at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness.

The deceased, died at the age of 80, marking the end of a long life described by relatives as devoted to family, faith, and community service.

Family sources disclosed that he had been receiving medical attention at the hospital for some time before his demise. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he eventually succumbed to the illness.

He is survived by his wife, many children, grandchildren, and extended family members, who have continued to receive sympathies from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers across the country.

In line with Islamic rites, the late patriarch was buried shortly after his passing, with prayers offered for the repose of his soul and for strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.

Colleagues of Ramatu Garba at the News Agency of Nigeria and members of the journalism community in Kano have expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a painful moment not only for the family but also for the media fraternity.

In a condolence message, management and staff of Time Express extended their heartfelt sympathies to Ramatu Garba and her family, praying for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

They also prayed for comfort and patience for the bereaved family during this difficult period.
