CP Bello Holds Town Hall Meetings in Zamfara, Reaffirms Commitment to Tackling Insecurity

The Zamfara State Police Command has intensified efforts to strengthen security and community relations, as the Commissioner of Police, A.M Bello, held a series of town hall meetings across parts of the state.

 

The engagements took place in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, as well as Fegin Mahe and Fegin Kanawa communities in Gusau Local Government Area, with a focus on building trust, enhancing collaboration, and improving the overall security architecture.

 

During the meetings, CP Bello stressed the critical role of community participation in policing, noting that security is a collective responsibility.

 

He urged residents to support security agencies with credible and timely information to aid in combating criminal activities across the state.

 

As part of the visit, the Commissioner paid a courtesy call on the Sarkin Kiyawa of Kaura Namoda, Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, where discussions centered on the prevailing security situation in the area and surrounding communities.

 

The traditional ruler commended the Police Command for its efforts in addressing insecurity and assured the Commissioner of continued community support and cooperation.

 

CP Bello also visited the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, where he assessed the institution’s security framework with a view to strengthening safety measures and ensuring a conducive learning environment.

 

The Commissioner further extended his operational tour to Fegin Mahe and Fegin Kanawa communities, where he reassured residents of the Command’s determination to decisively tackle banditry and other criminal activities threatening peace in the area.

 

He reiterated the resolve of the Command to sustain aggressive operations against criminal elements and urged members of the public to remain law-abiding and vigilant at all times.
