7 Months After Wedding, Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband to Death in Abia

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday night, August 8, 2026, barely seven months after the couple’s white wedding, throwing residents of the community into shock.
Nwaoji was allegedly attacked while he was asleep, although the reason for the incident remains unknown. No official account has yet been given on what transpired between the couple before the alleged stabbing.
A community member, David Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said residents were particularly shocked because they were unaware of any serious disagreement between the couple.
“We are not aware of any disagreement between the couple before the incident,” Amaraizu said.
He disclosed that the woman had been arrested and was being held in police custody, while the deceased’s body had been deposited at a morgue.
The incident has since generated concern among residents, with police expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing and establish what led to the tragedy.
