The Screening Committee put in place by the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/ Extraordinary Planning Committee may extend screening of aspirants beyond the already slated date.
Investigation revealed that the schedule of the team led by Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari for screening of aspirants for the position of National Working Committee has been disrupted as it could not complete screening of aspirants for national chairman and secretary, on the scheduled date.
Checks revealed that by virtue of its earlier announcement signed by Secretary of the Committee, Emmanuel Otagburuagu, the screening of Chairman and other National Working Committee (NWC) aspirants, was fixed for Tuesday while aspirants for zonal offices were to be conducted on Wednesday.
Report by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that the screening of aspirants for the substantive national working Committee could not be completed as it started late on Tuesday night.
Investigation revealed that Senator Abdullahi Adamu and few others aspirants for NWC offices joined aspirants for zonal offices today at Katsina Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja for the screening.
The former Nasarawa State Governor arrived at the screening venue by noon and proceeded to meet the Committee. Among aspirants screened on Tuesday night were former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Others sighted who had also scaled the hurdles were Senator Sani Musa, Tanko Al-Makura, George Akume and Saliu Mustapha.
