More than two million people have benefited from the health care support program for the rural community, which is managed by the National Youth Service Corps across the country.
The Coordinator of the Scheme in Kano Hajiya Aisha Tata Mohammed Stated this during a free medical outreach program organized by the Corps members to the people of Kunchi Local Government Area of Kano State.
She said the program was created to help rural Dwellers who cannot afford to go to hospitals to take care of their health and to educate them about the importance of taking care of their health.
Aisha Tata Muhammad maintained that the free medical outreach was aimed at promoting the well-being of indigent persons at the grassroots by granting them easy access to free and quality health care.

She noted that the program started in 2014, saying the program, over 300 people with special needs have benefited with will-chair, she added that they established community-based clinics, and setup up clinics for the NYSC secretariat as well as first aid kits.
She said this program is the third term in this year 2022, and the program will continue to support the less privileged especially Rural Dwellers.
In his remark, the Head of Department Primary Health Care Kunchi Local Government Area Malam Yahaya Hamisu who represented the Chairman of the Local Government Area Commended the NYSC staff and the Corps members for the wonderful program being carried out in their area.
He added that Kano NYSC health Initiative would play a vital role in providing the rural dwellers with access to free medical health services vice
