A group of youth, under the auspices of El-Dabi Youth Progressive Movement (EYPM) has called on the former Director Operations, Buhari Support Organization (BSO), Dr Ibrahim Bello Dauda, also known as El-Dabi, to humbly come out and contest for presidency come 2023.
EYPM made the call at a press conference, held in Kano State on Saturday.
Addressing newsmen at Kano State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Coordinator of the group, Hon. Salihu Bala Mai Alawayyo presented a rich profile of Bello, his political experiences, membership of professional bodies as well as his level of exposure in both the civil service and political governance.
The group lamented unfulfilled promises made by aspirants of political positions in the past saying, this is the reason they are calling on Nigerians not to continue along the same path by coming out to support El-Dabi in 2023.
“We therefore wish to use this medium and call on Dr Ibrahim Bello Dauda to as a matter of serving humanity and of course saving Nigerians from the shackles of poverty, insecurity, threat in the country, and what not, to declare and run for the office of the president in the upcoming presidential election of 2023.
“Ladies and gentlemen of the press we as patriotic citizens have done our duty by calling on a real patriot to contest and assume the leadership of Nigeria.
“we as well, call on all well-meaning Nigerians to urge for and support Eldabi to assume the number one seat of the land” he stated.
