The president of Nigerian institute of Quantity Surveyors,Mr Michael Olayemi shonubi,has decried that Insecurity have really affect various sectors of human endeavors like farmers many farmers cannot go to farm ,also it affects our noble Profession Quantity Surveyors Profession in Nigeria where many fellow members cannot go to the site to do projects.
Mr,Shonubi is Speaking at an event organize by Kaduna state chapter of Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the Third Edition of late Dr,Shehu Lawal Giwa Bienial memorial Lecture and Launching of 2022 Calendar.
“The President further said”Issued of insecurity really affect our Profession that make it hard for Professional to go to site and exsiqute project, it also bring to high cause of industrial materials which we use in the Project areas.
“The government should educate it Citizens and give them employment to work in the country this will really curb the present Insecurity in this country, because if the youth are engaged they will have to time to do any crime.
In his welcome address,the Chairman Kaduna state chapter, Mallam Abdullahi ldris Gambo,said ” this is the third edition,in the series of luctures to honor our father , late Dr,Shehu Lawal Giwa, how have contributed immersely to this Profession not only in Kaduna state,but Nigeria at a large,if you see ten People in this Profession many of them where taught by him,he really contributed ,any free of charge in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria,that is why we organize this to honor his contribution to this noble Profession.
