The Kaduna State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project has hosted a delegation from Nasarawa State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project on a study tour aimed at strengthening project implementation and collaboration between the two states.
The delegation, led by the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Agricultural Development, Tanko Tunga, visited Kaduna in April 2026 to assess the level of RAAMP implementation and learn best practices and innovative approaches adopted by the state.
Speaking during the visit, Tunga said the tour was also designed to identify challenges encountered in project execution and the strategies used by Kaduna RAAMP to address them, with a view to improving service delivery in Nasarawa State.
He expressed optimism that the engagement would strengthen collaboration between the Project Implementation Units of both states, particularly in enhancing rural infrastructure and agricultural marketing systems.
Welcoming the delegation, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Agriculture, Murtala Mohammed Dabo, reaffirmed the state’s readiness to share its experiences for mutual benefit and deeper inter-state cooperation.
Dabo commended the Kaduna RAAMP team for its performance within a short period, noting that the project is designed to improve rural accessibility, boost agricultural productivity, enhance food security, and reduce post-harvest losses.
The visit is expected to foster knowledge exchange and promote more effective implementation of RAAMP initiatives across participating states.
