Zamfara Party Crises: 2019 PPN Governotorial Candidate, Dumps Yari for Matawalle.

A two time governorship candidate under the PDP in 2015 and PPN in 2019 as well as the defunct CPC political leader in Zamfara and close ally to former governor Abdulaziz Yari, Alhaji Bashir Adamu Imad has dumped Yari and joined governor Bello Matawalle and the mainstream APC in Zamfara state.

Imad who has already registered and picked his APC membership card from his Madawaki ward of Gusau local government through APC ward Chairman, Alhaji Habibu Abubakar said he decided to join the Matawalle leadership following the governor’s sincere and committed style of leadership which is aimed at making Zamfara greater.

He described the governor’s effort in tackling insecurity and deciminating armed banditry and other heineous crimes while also making positive efforts in the development of the state as unequalled and sterling qualities.

Bashir Imad noted that such leaders as Matawalle who gives chance, opportunity and voice to everyone is one of the things that the state had been missing all this while.

He said, he had watched the passionate way the governor has been running the state and been encouraging his supporters to lend their unflinching support to the administration so that they will be part of the epoch making history in transforming the state into a new prosperous Zamfara under the Matawalle initiative.

The Danmajen Gusau informed the governor when he personally led a delegation to declare his allegiance to Matawalle through the state APC Chairman, Honourable. Tukur Umar Danfulani that he will soon organize a grand rally of all his supporters and loyalists who are currently and massively obtaining their APC membership cards to come and formally declare their membership into the APC.

While receiving him, Governor Bello Matawalle who described Imad as a personal friend and political associate noted that only those who have Zamfara’s development and progress of the good people of the state at heart such as Imad will reason with and support his effort in improving the status of the state.

He said as an old hand, a two time governorship candidate and a political leader in Zamfara politics, the entrance of Imad and his good lieutenants into the APC will further encourage him in deriving more workable ideas that will be beneficial to the people of the state.

The governor who expressed happiness with the new development maintained that Imad will be given equal opportunities as an old member and leader so that together, the APC can be stronger in the state.
