The Kano State Gubernatorial aspirant, under the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Pharmacist Ghali Sule says he commands the support of 99 percent of Pensioners and Civil Servants in the the state.
Pharmacist Sule made the assertion at interaction with journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council Secretariat on Tuesday.
He said he voluntarily resigned from civil service after 31 meritorious years, with the remaining of 4 years to retire.
He stated that he unilaterally took decision of tendering his resignation to allow him join politics.
” There are certain abnormalities in governance, but you have to keep quiet as Civil Servants. Government officials don’t have right to criticize any wrong decision or policy of their employer,”
” If you advise or made correction on how to improve governance, they will tagged you as enemy of the Government.
” I really need to bring changee, and realized that the best option for me is to resign and join politics, you can correct wrongdoing if you have political power,” he said.
Pharmacist Sule maintained that as his position of being current National President, Kano State Science Secondary Schools Old Students Association ( KASSOSA), he knew the level of decadance and dilapidations of education in Kano State, stressing that the situation is worrisome which need holistic approach to squarely address the issue.
He further stressed that Government lacks goodwill to address the challenges bedeviling the
Socio economic and political development sectors in Kano.
He emphasized that the time to act is now, encouraging the Kano Electorates to join hands with the aim of salvaging the state from backwardness.
“I have identified a wide gap in business, agriculture and I believe that no healthcare system will effectively delivered without quality and adequate manpower. I solicit your support to take Kano State to a greater high,” he stated.
The PRP Gubernatorial aspirant, explained that he will contest the number one seat with seven point agenda.
He classified Kano challenges into categories, explaining that, if elected he will place his priority on seven points agenda namely: Attitudinal Changes (societal Reform), Governance and Leadership
Others are Youths, Women Support and Societal Development, Economic Development.
He added that under his seven point agenda he will squarely address the issue of rape, kidnap, drug abuse, banditry, corruption, immorality among others.
