As deadline for party primaries election is getting closer, ahead of 2023 general election, number of presidential aspirants under different political parties stormed Jigawa state to canvass the support of the state delegates.
Time express reports that all the aspirants articulated their blueprints for the improvement of agricultural sector to fight poverty and generate wealth.
The Presidential aspirants also promised to come up with many initiatives, strategies to tackle security challenges, promote peace unity and progress in the country.
In his speech to APC delegates Governor Kayode Fayemi declared that, he is a security expert and if given the mandate he will use his experience to tackle the security challenges.
Fayemi said he will also invest more for the improvement of agricultural sector for food security and poverty eradication in Nigeria.
Senator Ibikunle Amoson said, he is optimistic that, if the Jigawa arable land developed and mechanised agriculture supported the state alone can feed Nigeria and story of poverty will be history of the past.
According to him,”if elected, i will not disappoint Jigawa and Nigerians, i will operate an open and all inclusive government to make Nigeria a happy and prosperous society”.
While Speaking to Jigawa state People’s Democratic PDP delegates, the party presidential aspirant, Senator Anyim Pious Anyim in said, if elected, he will develope Hadejia Jama’are Irrigation scheme and other Fadama areas to make Jigawa one of the major food basket of Nigeria.
He said, Dutse airport will be converted to Cargo Airport were meat, livestock, and other agricultural produce will be exported to other part of the world,
” You have the potentiality and I promise to develop it to reality” Anyim declared
Similarly, Senator Bukola Saraki urged the Jigawa state PDP delegates to vote for him during their party primary election, as he has comprehensive plan for the country social and economic development.
“Every state has specific area of economic comparative advantage, and I will develop it for our maximum benefits, Jigawa has vast fertile land, I will promote the use of science and technology among the Jigawa and Nigerian farmers for the increase of yield profits and strengthen the country food security ” Saraki stated
