The National President, Arewa Women for Tinubu AWT, Hajiya Saadatu Garba Dogonbauchi has Inaugurate Kaduna State Executives and Local Government Coordinators with a view to galvanize support for Asiwaji Bola Ahmad Tinubu in the forthcoming general election.
Hajiya Saadatu Garba Dogonbauchi while inaugurating the coordinators in Kaduna said the objective of the association was to sensitise women and youths to rally round for the purpose of seeking support for Tinubu presidential ambition.
She expressed their readiness to ensure the victory of the APC candidates perticulerly Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Kashim Shettima for the betterment of Nigerians as well as Malam Uba Sani in Kaduna State among other candidates.
Deputy governor of Kaduna, Dr Hadiza Balarabe called on women across the country to consider presidential candidate that has track record of leadership qualities and who will carry women along in the forthcoming general election. It
Dr Hadiza Balarabe noted that, women constituted more than fifty percent population of this country while their percentage is yet to reach in decision making table.
She said AREWA WOMEN FOR TINUBU was formed to ensure the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu is returned elected in 2023.
The Deputy governor said the state government had believed in the candidature of Tinubu, urged women to mobilize their fellow colleagues at the grassroot to consider Better candidates
In her presentation on the role of women in politics, Hajiya Munirah Sulaiman Tanimu lere said women constituted large percentage of those casting votes during election.
Hajiya Munirah Sulaiman argued that, the reason for women to be educated are for them to contribute their quota in nation building and governance.
According to her, women are to get 35% inclusion in governance and decision making, saying that, if women really support best candidate they will achieve their full potential in every aspect.
Also Speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Alhaji Ajid Musa Ajid stated that, the contribution of women in politics cannot be over emphasized.
In her remark, the National Financial Secretary of the association, Hajiya Suwaiba Shika argued unbeatable track records of Asiwaju motivated the association to galvanize support of northern women for economic revival and Ensuring Economic Development of the nation if given the mandate.
“We believe if he bacame the President of Nigeria, inshallah Nigeria will really be better and everybody will enjoy regardless of political parties”
Hajiya Suwaiba Shika said the gathering was to inaugurate the association Excutives in Kaduna state and local government levels to coordinate grass root activities.
She expressed confidence that both Tinubu and Uba in Kaduna would carry women along and have a better life if given them the opportunity.
The occasion was grace with dignitaries including Kaduna State Commissioner of Budget and Planning Hajiya Umma Aboki, Commissioner for Local Government and chieftency Umma Ahmad among other dignitaries.
An Award was given to Her Excellency and she was designated as AWT Patron who later present Appointment letters to the State Executives.
