The public have been advised, to avoid indiscriminate use of substances, that may infect their eyes leading to unforseen circumstances.
The deputy director nursing services, who doubles as head of department eye clinic, sir Muhammad Sunusi hospital, Yusuf Musa Lawan made the call, during the flag off of free cataract eye surgery, for 120 patients sponsored by premium pensions limited in collaboration with charity to cheer foundation in Kano.
According to him, the eyes are very precious to mankind as such there was the urgent need for people to abide by rules and regulations especially after surgery to prevent blindness.
Yusif Musa Lawan commended the sponsors and urged others to emulate the kind gesture.
In her remarks,President charity to cheer foundation Dr. Maryam Shehu Muhammad explained that, the association consists of 30 members, from seven northern states in the country.
She maintained that, the foundation in collaboration with premium pensions has sponsored over 300 patients for cataract surgery to regain their sights.
In his remarks,Adamu Sarki Na Maijaki of premium pensions limited highlighted that, the program is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to the public.
While wishing the beneficiaries speedy recovery, he reiterated their commitment in initiating programs aimed at ensuring quality healthcare delivery in the country.
