The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Kaduna state, Alhaji Isah Mohammed Ashiru, said he would tackle the insecurity bedeviling the state and improve agriculture human empowerment if elected in 2023 general elections.
The gubernatorial candidate made the disclosure in a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) council secretariat in Kaduna.
He explained that “I am here to unveil the five point agenda of the incoming government by the special grace of God.
“The five point agenda are; Security, agriculture, education, science and technology, health, youths and women empowerment.
“The situation we find our selves in this country and in particular Kaduna has been deteriorating day by day with people sleeping with their two eyes open”, he said
According to him, some of the causes of insecurity were mistrust, disunity among the people of Kaduna state where some think one section of the state was dominating the other.

He added that poverty , high unemployment rate and the retrenchment of workers had compounded insecurity in the state adding that those issues would be a thing of the past when he is elected.
Ashiru-Kudan said his administration would bring back subsidy on agricultural input and fertilizer while improving on irrigation farming to achieve food security.
The gubernatorial candidate who lamented the high cost of school fees for students in the state’s higher institutions said subsidy in education must be retain to get children back to school.
He said his administration would introduce skill based education which would ensure that all graduating students have skills to make them self reliant in case they didn’t secure white collar job.
He stated the healthcare system in the state would be improved with adequate medical personnel and health equipment my administration would establish three diagnostic centers in the three senatorial district of the state when elected .
He added that his administration would partner with international organisation to support Women and youth with grants or loans to start up businesses and also empowered them with skills.
