In a bid to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship among young people, Sahel and Mufarka Youth have partnered to train 10 youths from Gwale and Fagge Local Government Areas in various skills acquisition.
The Executive Director of Mufarka, Malam Nura Ahmad Muhammad, made this disclosure during the presentation of business support materials to beneficiaries of the Skills Acquisition Project in Kano.
Muhammad emphasized that the primary aim of the training was to equip the youths with essential skills to become self-reliant and contribute positively to their communities.
“The training is designed to provide young people with the necessary tools and expertise to start their own businesses, thereby reducing unemployment and promoting economic growth,” he said.

Donated Items includes
– Sewing machines
– Hairdressing equipment
– Tailoring and fashion materials
– Leather works tools
He maintained that the donations are expected to enable the trained youths to establish their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.
The training focused on:
– Fashion design and tailoring
– Hairdressing and beauty services
– Leatherworks and craft production
“We believe that investing in young people’s skills and entrepreneurship is crucial for Nigeria’s economic growth and social stability,” Muhammad added.

One of the beneficiaries, Aisha Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to Sahel and Mufarka Youth for the opportunity.
“This training has given me the confidence to start my own business and support my family,” she said.
The Skills Acquisition Project is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries and their communities.
