A member of the House of Representatives representing Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, has commended the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmud Bunkure, for her sustained commitment to grassroots development and empowerment of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of the Rano–Kibiya–Bunkure (RAKIBU) axis of Kano State.

Rurum gave the commendation in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Fatihu Yusuf Bichi, following the distribution of empowerment items by the minister to party leaders and beneficiaries across the constituency.

According to the statement, the lawmaker expressed delight over what he described as the “massive and impactful” empowerment initiative carried out by Dr. Bunkure, noting that the intervention reflected genuine leadership and people-oriented representation.

He described the minister as a shining example within the Federal Executive Council, stressing that her consistent delivery of social and economic support to the people aligns perfectly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Rt. Hon. Rurum noted that although he was unable to attend the empowerment programme due to an official overseas engagement, he conveyed his goodwill message and best wishes to the minister and all participants at the event.

The federal lawmaker also urged beneficiaries of the empowerment items to make proper and judicious use of the support provided, adding that such opportunities were meant to improve livelihoods and promote self-reliance within the communities.
He reaffirmed his support for initiatives that directly impact the lives of constituents and pledged continued collaboration with stakeholders to advance development in the RAKIBU constituency.
