A former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ahmed I. Yakasai, has confirmed his participation as a lead speaker at the 2026 PSN Colloquium slated for March 31 in Yola.
The high-level professional gathering will take place at the Government House Banquet Hall, bringing together pharmacists, healthcare experts, and key stakeholders to deliberate on the future of the profession amid evolving global trends in education and practice.
Organisers say the colloquium is designed to unlock the vast potential within the pharmacy profession while providing a platform to critically examine emerging challenges in the healthcare ecosystem. Participants are also expected to chart a sustainable path forward for improved service delivery and institutional strengthening.
Yakasai, who is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd, will deliver a presentation titled “Strategic Guide to Effective Leadership and Governance.” He described the theme as both timely and essential in efforts to strengthen institutions, promote professionalism, and ensure impactful healthcare services.
He noted that beyond sharing insights, the event would offer an opportunity for meaningful engagement, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among professionals and stakeholders across the sector. He emphasized the importance of collective commitment to leadership, integrity, and service as key drivers of progress in healthcare delivery.
The former PSN president further called on pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to work collaboratively in advancing the profession, expressing optimism that continued innovation and dedication would enhance patient care and improve health outcomes nationwide.
