The wife of the Governor of Jigawa State, Hajiya Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, has extended warm felicitations to the people of the state on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day celebration.
In a goodwill , the First Lady congratulated citizens for their resilience, patriotism, and continued support for democratic governance in the state and the country at large.
She described Democracy Day as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Nigeria’s founding democratic advocates and urged citizens to remain committed to sustaining peace, unity, and progress.
Ambassador Dr Amina Umar Namadi further encouraged residents to support government policies and programmes aimed at improving livelihoods, strengthening institutions, and promoting inclusive development across all communities.
She also called on youths to remain productive and shun activities capable of undermining peace and stability, noting that their energy and creativity are vital to the state’s development agenda.
The First Lady prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and harmony in Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole, while wishing all citizens a happy Democracy Day celebration.
