The Executive Chairman of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council in Plateau State, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, has received the second-highest meritorious award at the LOGEXA 2026 Conferment Ceremony held at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado District, Abuja.
The award, presented by The Medals Magazine under the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA), recognised Manship for doggedness, integrity, selfless service and excellence in grassroots administration, marking his second national recognition since assuming office.
The ceremony brought together distinguished local government chairmen from across Nigeria, including representatives from Lagos, Enugu, Kwara, Kaduna, Oyo, Taraba and Imo States, in recognition of what organisers described as outstanding performance in grassroots governance and service delivery.
Since assuming office on June 9, 2023, Manship has reportedly executed over 18 development projects in Qua’an-Pan Local Government Area, including the equipping of science laboratories, payment of scholarships, and sponsorship of JAMB candidates who scored 250 and above, aimed at promoting educational advancement among youths.
He has also implemented youth and women empowerment programmes, improved staff welfare, and strengthened labour relations, while residents of the area have reportedly acknowledged improvements in security and general stability within the local government.
Manship dedicated the award to Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the people of Qua’an-Pan, pledging to intensify development efforts and sustain ongoing reforms aimed at improving education, livelihoods, and infrastructure at the grassroots level.
