The Kano State Health Care Forum, comprising former members and the association of the 2023 Gubernatorial Health Care Transition Committee, has expressed support for the re-election bid of Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 general elections.
The forum made its position known at a meeting held in Kano on Thursday, where members discussed strategic approaches and initiatives aimed at ensuring the success of the governor in the forthcoming election.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, who urged members to remain committed to supporting the administration and its programmes.
At the end of the meeting, the forum honoured the Permanent Secretary, Kano State Ministry of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Abdulqadir Makkatu, with an award of recognition and a distinguished Super Holland Atampa in appreciation of her dedication and outstanding service to the people and government of the state.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Magashi expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for Makkatu’s elevation to the position of Permanent Secretary, describing the appointment as a responsibility entrusted to her by the people.
He commended her commitment, dedication and selfless service, which he said had continued to earn her success and recognition.
The forum also appreciated Gov. Yusuf for his leadership and support, praying for divine guidance, wisdom and success for the governor and expressing optimism that he would emerge victorious in the 2027 election.
