Gov. Yusuf Mourns former MD KNARDA Malam Sani Shawai, condoles with Family

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Malam Sani Shawai, a respected elder, education administrator and former Managing Director of the Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA).

The Governor also extended his heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s children, including Ibrahim Sani Shawai, journalist and former spokesperson of KEDCO; Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly; and Muhammad Bello Sani Shawai of DW Radio.

Malam Sani Shawai, who died at the age of 85 was a former teacher and education officer who served in the old Kano State, he devoted many years to education and public service. He was survived by three wives, children and numerous grandchildren.

The Governor described the deceased as a distinguished elder whose long life was marked by service to humanity, commitment to education and dedication to his family and community.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

Governor Yusuf further prayed for Allah to grant the family, relatives, colleagues and associates of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
