The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed Sept. 25 as the final deadline for registration and payment of deposit by intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj.
The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on Wednesday in Kano.
Ibrahim-Matawalle said the board had fixed the Hajj deposit at N8 million, urging intending pilgrims to complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their seats.
He warned that the board would not extend the registration period or allocate Hajj seats to intending pilgrims who failed to meet the Sept. 25 deadline.
According to him, the decision is aimed at facilitating effective planning and coordination of the 2027 Hajj operation, adding that the board remained committed to conducting a smooth, transparent and hitch-free pilgrimage.
The director-general advised prospective pilgrims to comply with all registration requirements within the stipulated period to avoid losing the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage.
