Jigawa Hisba Boss Urges New Gumel Emir to Strengthen Islamic Values

The Jigawa State Hisba Commandant, Dr. Muhammad Fa’iz Bashir Haruna, has congratulated the newly appointed Emir of Gumel, Dr. Lawan Ahmad Muhammad, urging him to strengthen collaboration with the Hisba Board in promoting Islamic values, moral conduct and peaceful coexistence in the emirate.

Dr. Fa’iz made the call when he led a delegation of the Jigawa State Hisba Board on a condolence and congratulatory visit to the new Emir at his palace in Gumel.
The visit was also to condole with the Emir and the entire royal family over the death of his father, the late Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Sani.

The Hisba Commandant expressed sympathy to the family over the loss and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him eternal rest.
While congratulating Dr. Lawan Ahmad Muhammad on his appointment by the Jigawa State Government, Dr. Fa’iz prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom and protection as he assumes the responsibility of leading the Gumel Emirate.

He also called for a continued cordial working relationship between the emirate council and the Hisba Board, stressing the importance of joint efforts in promoting Islamic teachings, moral values and peaceful coexistence among the people.

Responding, the Emir of Gumel, Dr. Lawan Ahmad Muhammad, appreciated the Hisba Commandant and his delegation for the visit, describing it as a gesture of solidarity and concern for the emirate.

The Emir commended Dr. Fa’iz for his efforts towards uplifting the standard and effectiveness of the Jigawa State Hisba Guard.
Dr. Lawan said the primary responsibilities of Hisba include working closely with emirate councils to promote moral values, peaceful coexistence and Islamic ethics within society.

He expressed appreciation to the Jigawa State Government and the people of the state for their concern, support and solidarity with the Gumel Emirate.

The visiting delegation comprised the Jigawa State Hisba Commandant, zonal commanders and other senior officials from the Hisba headquarters.

The visit ended with prayers for the success of the new Emir, peace in the Gumel Emirate and continued cooperation between the Hisba Board and traditional institutions in promoting Islamic values and peaceful coexistence across Jigawa State.
