NSCDC Arrests Suspects for illegal  possession of registered Sim and ATM cards in Kano

The Nigeria Security and civil defense corps has arrested one Ahmad Abdulsalam for illegal possession of 22 registered airtel sim cards and unlawful possession of 14 ATM Cards bearing different names in Kano.
The Commandant of the Corps in Kano Adamu Zakari of disclosed this while briefing journalists in kano.
Adamu Zakaria said on the 12 of this month the personnel of NSCDC sighted one Ahmad Abdulsalam activating many ATM cards at a bank in kano.
He said with the expertise and experience of his personnel they suspected foul play and arrested the suspect for further investigation.
The Commandant noted that upon investigation the suspect revealed that he has partners in crime who connived with him in the unlawful act.
” investigations reveal that the suspects were four in number with one Umar surajo as the kingpin who gave the Airtel sim cards to Ahmad Abdulsalam for Activation.

“Investigation also reveals that the suspects normally go to rural areas and open bank accounts for the village people and bought the ATM cards of the villagers at the rate of three thousand Naira only.
Adamu Zakari maintained that personnel of the corps were on the trail of the suspect still at large, stressing that four suspects have been arrested and that investigation was ongoing.
He urged the general populace, especially the rural dwellers to be cautious and desist from selling their ATM cards to anyone, saying committing such an act was illegal, and anyone found guilty would face the Wrath of the Law.
