Yakasai dumps NNPP joins APC, pledges support for Gawuna

Former personal physician to the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai has decamped from the New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP ) to All Progressive Congress (APC).

Dr. Umar Tanko yakasai was received by thousands of APC supporters on Tuesday in kano led by the State Secretary of the party Alhaji Zakari Sarina.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai said he dumped the NNPP alongside hundreds of his supporters to the APC due to the credible style of leadership exhibited by the APC in Kano.

“My loyalty is with Dr. Nasir Yusif Gawuna the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC in Kano, I assure you that we will support this struggle to ensure that Dr. Nasir Gawuna and his running mate succeed”

He explained that he has returned home by dumping NNPP for APC.

“Dr. Nasir Yusif Gawuna is a complete gentleman who respects everyone In the society, that’s why I and my supporters converged to pay allegiance and support  to our gubernatorial candidate”

Earlier the APC Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Alhaji Salisu Ayo Gawuna said Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai and his entourage were well received as bonafide members of the party.

He urged them to join efforts together in ensuring that APC succeeds in the forthcoming general elections from top to bottom, 

In their separate remarks, former Algon chairman Kano Alhaji Lamin Sani and the incumbent chairman of Nasarawa local government council Auwal lawan shuaibu aranfosu described the decision taken by Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai as a wise one.
