The Transmission Company Of Nigeria TCN has Cautioned Kano Residents to desist from erecting structures under the Transmission Cable with Aim of Ensuring safety.
The Chairman National Committee on Encroachment Right of the way Mr. Kepas Kangeh disclosed this When he lead members of the Committee who paid a courtesy Call to the Kano State Bureau for Land Management.
He said the objective of the visit was to fine-tune modalities that would address Encroachment into the premises of TCN land properties.
“Building under Such powerful electricity equipment is very hazardous to health, so we are soliciting the state government support in ensuring that we recover our land that has been encroached by many people”
In her Remarks, the permanent secretary Kano State Bureau for Land Management Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Commended the Committee for the visit.
She assured the support of the Bureau in ensuring that the menace of TCN Land Encroachment was been Curtailed in Kano State.
Meanwhile, the Committee paid a similar visit to Nigeria Security And Civil Defense Corps Kano Command and the state security services seeking synergy, geared toward ensuring the state objectives.
Commandant NSCDC Adamu Zakari Assured their Support to achieve success.
