The Obidient Movement Worldwide has reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the presidential ambition of Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring its readiness to align with any political platform capable of securing electoral victory.
The position was made known by the movement’s spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, during a one-day political engagement with key stakeholders in Kano.
He said the movement remains committed to its core objective of promoting credible leadership and good governance in Nigeria.
Tanko noted that while the movement is firmly rooted in support for Obi, it is also open to strategic collaborations that would enhance the chances of success at the polls. According to him, such alliances are necessary in navigating Nigeria’s complex political landscape.
He further revealed that a proposed alliance involving Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso remains a viable option, adding that the combination could attract broad-based support cutting across regional and political divides.
The spokesperson stressed that discussions around coalition-building should be guided by shared values, national interest and the desire to deliver effective leadership to Nigerians.
He maintained that the Obidient Movement would continue to mobilise support nationwide in pursuit of its objectives.
Observers at the event described the development as a significant signal of early political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, noting that potential alliances among key political figures could shape the direction of the contest.
