Members of the Students Union Association from Munya Local Government Area of Niger State have paid a solidarity visit to Senator Sani Musa at his residence in Abuja, expressing support for his leadership style and performance at the National Assembly.

The delegation, made up of student leaders and youths from the area, said the visit was aimed at appreciating the senator’s contributions to governance, particularly his role in addressing security challenges and promoting development across the Niger East Senatorial District.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Jagaba Yohana commended the lawmaker for his efforts in curbing insecurity, noting that improved safety has enabled residents to return to farming activities, thereby boosting livelihoods in the area.

The students also disclosed plans to organise a rally and march-past across Zone B of the Niger East Senatorial District to demonstrate their continued support for the senator’s leadership.

They urged him not to relent in executing people-oriented projects that would further deliver the dividends of democracy to constituents.

Responding, Senator Musa expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a sign of growing political awareness and engagement among youths.

He said he was encouraged by the students’ focus and their articulation of community needs.

The lawmaker urged the students to remain patriotic and committed to nation-building, stressing the importance of taking ownership of public projects, as they are funded with public resources.

He also called on the youths to support the administration of Governor Umar Bago and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enable the delivery of more developmental projects across the state and the country.

On responsible use of social media, Senator Musa cautioned against the spread of fake news, libel and slander, advising the youths to promote factual information and highlight developmental achievements rather than engaging in online abuse.

“You should not respond to insults with insults, but rather showcase the projects executed for the benefit of the people,” he said.

The senator further disclosed that his scholarship programme remains ongoing, noting that beneficiaries from the nine local government areas of the senatorial zone are selected strictly on merit.

He concluded by urging the students to remain disciplined and organised, describing them as future leaders whose actions today would shape the nation’s tomorrow.
