The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has conducted a successful test run of a newly deployed surveillance drone at its headquarters.
The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, carried out the exercise on Friday, April 10, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and improve intelligence gathering across the state.
Commandant Agalama said the introduction of the drone would significantly enhance operational efficiency and environmental surveillance.
He reassured residents that the deployment is solely for security purposes and urged the public not to panic.
He also called on the people of Kano to continue supporting and cooperating with the corps to ensure effective service delivery.
The Commandant expressed appreciation to the Commandant-General of the corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for facilitating the deployment of the surveillance equipment.
