The Executive Director Finance Hadejia Jammaare River Basin, Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has said that the three years achievements of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, has already earned him a 2nd Term in office and no opposition can stop this from happening.
He said the Governor, has successfully marked his third year in office, with his administration having fulfillment of over 90% of its campaign promises, with his landmark accomplishments span across several key sectors, particularly education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare.
Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso said in a released, Sunday that Key Achievements including Education, which for the first time declared a state of emergency early in his tenure, consistently allocating nearly a third of the state’s budget to the sector.
This according Kwankwaso resulted in the achievements of recruiting over 10,000 qualified teachers, distributing thousands of three-seater desks and free uniforms to public schools, and rolling out robust local and international scholarship programs.
On Infrastructure and Utilities, the Governor Completed and reconstructed over 100 kilometers of urban and rural roads, including major interchange projects and the dualization of major roadways, Kwankwaso explained.
“The administration also tackled historical power and water shortages by launching a 500-transformer rollout and revitalizing the Tamburawa Water Plant to boost state-wide clean water supply.”
On Healthcare, he upgraded over 200 primary healthcare centers across all 44 Local Government Areas, established the Kano State Centre for Disease Control (KNCDC), and mandated free caesarean section (CS) services in public hospitals.
“Workers’ Welfare and Pensions, Governor Yusuf Initiated the clearance of a ₦48 billion backlog of unpaid pensions and gratuities, with over ₦27 billion already disbursed to retirees.”
While on Youth and Women Empowerment, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso said, Governor Yusuf Launched a ₦2.3 billion livestock entrepreneurship program, distributed thousands of start-up kits and livestock to women and vulnerable groups, and provided direct financial grants to support small business.
He said today township Roads have in the just last three years make the Governor to achieved the long desired Mega City promises which could be realistic not until his time.
“Today, somebody who has been absent if he entered Kano, I’m sure with exaggeration missed his roads, this quit commendable and will not matter gives the Governor his smooth moves back to the office”
Another great political achievement which has never been done by his predecessors is the Governor leading a clean and free and fair APC primary election.
“Not only that he make sure that for the first as a leader removed the tougher of his power and followed everyone to his Home for a reconciliation which has been achieved, he also reconcile Leaders who were not talking to each other for decades”.
Kwankwaso, said with these achievements nobody can stop the Governor from making his 2nd Term in office, he appeals to him to sustain the tempo and continue working for the good of the State and People.
He reminded that since his returns to APC, Governor Yusuf has been working to ensure that President Tinubu secure heavy percentage of votes in the State and with what he is doing is just the matter of times, Kwankwaso added.
