Governor Yusuf Mourns Hamza Darma, Pays Condolence Visit to Family

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sadness over the death of prominent Kano politician and elder statesman, Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, describing his passing as a great loss to Kano State and Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

The Governor expressed his condolences when he paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s residence in Kano, where he met with members of the bereaved family and sympathised with them over the loss of the respected politician and community leader.

Governor Yusuf said Alhaji Hamza Darma would be remembered for his contributions to public life, political development and the wellbeing of the people, as well as his commitment to community service.

He described the late Hamza Darma as a respected elder whose wealth of experience, wisdom and dedication to the progress of society earned him the respect of people across political and social divides.

The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, relatives, friends and associates of the deceased, urging them to take solace in the enduring legacy he left behind.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, reward his good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus and grant his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Governor Yusuf also prayed for the continued peace, unity and progress of Kano State, urging the people of the state to emulate the virtues of service, compassion and community spirit associated with the late Alhaji Hamza Darma.
