Ex-Kano lawmaker urges voters to elect leaders committed to development

A former member of the Kano State House of Assembly, representing Nassarawa Local Government Area, Ibrahim Ahmad Gama Lugard, has urged Nigerians to elect leaders capable of promoting development and improving the living conditions of the people.

Gama made the call while speaking with newsmen in Kano.

He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) had recorded development at various levels of government, from the state to the federal level.

The former lawmaker commended the Kano State Government under Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he described as developmental projects aimed at improving the state and strengthening its position as a major commercial centre in Africa.

Gama, who is a member of the APC, urged supporters of the party to remain committed to its programmes and leadership.

He specifically called on APC supporters to support the re-election of Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to enable them to continue with their development programmes.

He said sustained leadership and continuity were necessary to consolidate ongoing development efforts in Kano State and the country.
