Aminu Kano Ideology Revival Organisation Members Declare No Confidence in Chairman

Five concerned members of the Mallam Aminu Kano Ideology Revival Organisation have declared a vote of no confidence in the organisation’s Chairman, Alhaji Bakari Bako Tudun Nufawa, citing concerns over the management and administration of the organisation.

In a press release dated September 14, 2026, the members alleged a lack of transparency and accountability in the management of the organisation’s affairs and resources.

They also raised concerns over alleged inadequate consultation with members, marginalisation and exclusion from organisational activities and decision-making, poor communication, and alleged failure to address complaints through appropriate channels.

The aggrieved members said their action was not motivated by personal hatred or an attempt to undermine the organisation, but was intended to express their concerns about its leadership.

They called for the matter to be formally considered in accordance with the organisation’s rules and procedures, including the convening of a meeting where members would be allowed to deliberate and vote on the motion of no confidence.

The members further appealed to the chairman and other leaders to respect members’ rights and ensure that any process arising from the declaration is conducted peacefully, transparently and fairly.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the unity, progress and development of the Mallam Aminu Kano Ideology Revival Organisation, saying their objective was to strengthen the organisation through good governance, accountability, fairness and transparency.

The statement was signed by Umar Alhaji Alhassan, Kabiru Fagge, Garba Afarantis, Tijjani Hojo and H. Hanne Kofar Naisa on behalf of the concerned members.
